In many households today the woman of the house takes care of the family finances and budget.
It is important to have a budget, especially with children in the family, as spending can get out of hand with all the little extras that crop up daily with food, clothing, entertainment etc.  Try to spend according to the budget you have worked up.  Keep track of where you have spent your money, it will give you a picture of your cash flow and spending habits.
Do not give in to impulsive buying, try to put you willpower to work, especially at the mall, coffee shops etc.  cut your spending by at least 20%.
Beware of credit cards. People who make the minimum payment each month on their credit cards will get entangled in a debt trap and having to pay high interest rates.
Buy groceries in bulk to save money and by freezing a number of meals you will have dinner for several days plus save you time in preparation every day, a blessing for the working mother.
